Yup, I have taken the pledge. Although their website is not active anymore, I can still take the pledge and act to it.
So, no new outfits I can reasonably sew, make or remake myself. Which includes dresses and tops in any form (sewn or knitted), skirt and maybe trousers. Also accessories I can make myself, such as scarves, hats and gloves.
Luckily, the list of excluded objects is quite long, making the pledge easier as I'm still a sewing novice :).
Things that are excluded from the list: intimates (although I am doubting swimmingwear) including socks and panties, jeans (like I ever wear those), outerwear and off course shoes.
Things that are in the making or on the list are:
- Burdastyle's Kasia skirt - almost done!
- Colette's Macaron - fabric in tha house
- Sewaholic's Pendrell blouse - out of a sheer fabric, so will have to be lined or underlined
- Vintage 1940's underdress in a lovely nude cupra fabric - so soft!
- Colette's Rooibos
- Burdastyle's Anda dress to be refashioned out of a huge Indonesian batik dress from the thriftstore
- Colette's Sencha blouse - doubting the fabric
- Burdastyle Magazine's Colbert jacket from the january issue
- Vogue's Roland Mouret knockoff dress - already cut
